International Women’s Day: Pure360 Celebrate Women in Email
International Women’s Day is not only a day to celebrate the achievements of women all around the world but it’s also a time to reflect on decades of struggle for gender equality. This year is particularly significant as it marks 100 years since the Suffragettes started to see their hard work, sacrifice and tenacity make a political impact – the first women got the vote. And whilst this didn’t mean all women at first, it was enough to set the wheels of equality in motion.
Of course, there are still areas today where we need to address the issue of gender equality – or the lack thereof. For example, within the UK’s email marketing industry only 38% of professionals are women. And there are even less throughout the rest of Europe at under 28%. Whilst the industry still appears to be male dominated, we want to take today as an opportunity to shine a light on women in email. We want to celebrate the work they do – not only because it is outstanding but it is also industry leading. And we wouldn’t be where we are today without them.
