Continuing our series of meet the team, we’d like to introduce Ashley who is Creative Developer here at Pure360. She plays a crucial part within the Professional Services department.

Let’s find out more…

Tell us about yourself and your role at Pure360

I have always lived in Sussex, though I do love to travel! I initially studied illustration and printmaking, but technology called out to me so I went on to graduate with a first in Digital Media from Brighton University. I’ve worked in the digital industry for over 8 years now.

I’m a Creative Developer here at Pure360. Creative Services makes up part of the Professional Services department. My role is mainly a mix of email design, web design and coding, including HTML, CSS & JavaScript.

What is a typical working day for you at Pure360?

In a typical working day, I’ll have some designs and builds to do, for anything from emails and preference centres to unsubscribe pages and popovers. I’ll liaise directly with clients and the other guys here at Pure360 to make sure each project fulfills the brief.

Do you have any email strategy hints and tips you would like to share?

Simplify your message! I see lots of great email designs ruined by someone trying to squeeze in too much content. Emails are designed to be marketing snapshots, that quickly inform or lead people to complete an action. Though consistent branding is a must, email shouldn’t try to replicate a website.

Good emails should be succinct. Great email design will also be exciting and beautiful too…

Who inspires you and why?

I’m inspired by my colleagues who are always looking to improve. I love the buzz of a room full of motivated people!

I’m inspired by artists, musicians, scientists… anyone who is passionate about what they do and want to be at the top of their game.

What are your marketing trends predictions for the year ahead?

I predict that content marketing will continue to be the big winner in marketing in 2019. Paid-advertising will never be as powerful as word-of-mouth recommendations and social circles. If you want people to engage with your content and your brand, it’s got to be worth their time! Email will continue to be an ever-important window into your content, and a really personal communication tool.

Thanks Ashley!

Our series of Meet the Pure360 Team will continue, so you can get to know the fantastic team behind our brand. In the meantime, feel free to reach out to us if there is anything we can help with.
