Want to know which email subject lines work best for you?
22nd Novemeber 2006
Ever wondered which of your email subject lines really work and which ones are just uninspiring? All Pure clients can use our free Subject Line Testing function – so now you can find out what’s working – and what isn’t.

Make an impression

First impressions are pivotal. Subject lines make your emails relevant to your recipients, so get it wrong and your email is already in the trash. It’s important to have a system that lets you try different approaches. Subject Line Testing is a simple way of monitoring which of your messages get the best return and which approach is best suited to which audience.

Adapt and improve

Having an effective subject line is key to increasing email opening rates. Our system means we can help you create email campaigns that get the best possible return.

Testing different subject lines gives you a valuable insight into open rates, so you can adapt and be even more successful in the future.

How it works

Pure allows you to generate a variety of tailored, targeted subject lines in one campaign, which can contain anything from tag-lines to personalised company or contact names. These are then randomly selected by Pure and sent to your recipients.

You can even try out your selected subject lines on a small section of your database as a test. After sending, Pure will generate a report that allows you to gauge the success of each subject line by comparing it to the opening rate of the message.

The testing function is part of Pure’s developing functionality and is being offered to clients free of charge until the end of March 2007. You can activate it by calling your Account Manager.
