User Interface Developer

We are looking for a User Interface Developer who is extremely motivated to produce user-focused software for high profile clients, used by thousands. You should have a range of user interface development experience and an understanding of UI software design concepts. You'll experience a mature development environment and framework and will have the opportunity to learn from and contribute to development team processes and software frameworks to help us achieve new levels of success. You’ll be working alongside another UI Developer, PHP Developers, Software Testers and System Administrators.

This is a fantastic opportunity to progress your skills in a great team, learning more about prototyping, techniques, technologies and how to gauge user requirements, as well as gaining experience working on a large application rather than just websites. Key Responsibilities:
•    Perform all aspects of product and custom software UI development
•    Develop with future-proofing, reusability of code and platform compatibility in mind and be aware and highlight the effects of certain coding practices.
•    Support the overall success of the Development team by assisting colleagues in their responsibilities to ensure timely completion of projects and to maximise the quality of the services provided by the Development team 
•    Build your expertise, keep up-to-date on latest trends and provide knowledge and suggestion in relation to UI architecture, design, best practice and latest UI development techniques and methodologies

Skills & Experience:
Essential
•    Minimum 1 year’s UI development experience
•    Experience with commercial JavaScript libraries
•    Some commercial project experience
•    Proficient with hand-coded JavaScript, HTML & CSS
•    An understanding of User Experience and User Interaction
•    Knowledge of User Interface best practice & experience in developing cross-browser compatible applications

Desirable
•    Experience in requirements gathering and specification
•    Experience in User Interface design

Job type: Permanent, Full-time
