Linux System Administrator

Due to our continued & successful growth, we are looking for an additional Linux System Administrator to join the existing System Administration team. Your role will be to provide support and expertise to Pure360's expanding development and sales teams whilst maintaining our live service infrastructure and assisting our first and second line support teams.

We are supporting a large number of clients on a multitude of servers so the ability to problem-solve, prioritise and communicate effectively are key. This is an opportunity to join a thriving company working on interesting technical projects!

Key Responsibilities:
•    Support the delivery of the unrivalled Pure360 customer experience by maintaining the servers and the systems running on them according to the Pure360 SLA’s.  Deliver internal training for staff where required
•    Ensure accurate and efficient set up of servers
•    Measure and report on reliability and performance of configurations
•    Work with sales, finance and customer service as appropriate to ensure the set up process is delivering a positive customer experience
•     Efficiently manage server configuration for deliverability purposes with responsibilities for IP configuration, allocation and status
•    Track report and manage the removal of IP blocks to minimise impact to customers
•    Provide expert third line support to the business and customers
•    Ensure effective management of the server hosting suppliers and the procurement and set up of new servers

Essential Skills & Experience:
•    At least 5 years Linux Systems Administrator / Systems Administration experience
•    At least 2 years managing customer facing applications

•    MySQL Administration
•    PHP / Apache
•    Exim
•    DNS
•    Scripting
•    PowerMTA

•    Positive team-working skills & flexible approach
•    Strong rapport-building, listening and communication skills
•    Confident and proactive at managing client relationships at all levels
•    Ability to understand how your role relates to the overall goals of the business
•    A fast learner, ability to absorb and apply complex information

Job type: Permanent, Full-time

Salary: £35-45K depending on experience
