Pure is the result of a portal set up in 2000 by Founder and Sales/Marketing Director, Darren Fell.
The portal was designed to prove that email and SMS could work highly effectively as a marketing tool, for both brand awareness and reminder style messages.
It attracted considerable interest including sponsorship from Diageo (owners of drinks brands Smirnoff Ice and Cuervo Tequilla). It also resulted in the evolution of an SMS ticketing - an SMS promotional tool designed to increase sales of the Diageo brands.
We've come a long way since then. By 2001, the original portal had evolved into a highly successful digital marketing software business: Pure. By 2002 we had made email, as one of the cheapest forms of marketing, easily accessible as a major marketing tool to marketing departments around the world. Our view is that electronic marketing enhances the effectiveness of every organisation's communications - from SMEs to multi-nationals.
